lemon chicken for bodybuilding


If you’ve been working out for a while you probably know the importance of eating boiled chicken for bodybuilding.

Doesn’t matter if you’re trying to put on some muscles or trying to lose fat. Every fitness freak’s or bodybuilder’s diet contains at least one meal consisting of boiled chicken.

There are several benefits of eating boiled chicken breasts. It is one of the cheapest sources of quality proteins and contains literally zero carbohydrates. This quality itself is enough for making boiled chicken a staple bodybuilding food.

Now let’s cook lemon boiled chicken which is delicious yet healthy.


  1. 250 grams of chicken breasts.
  2. 1 lemon.
  3. 2-3 Garlic cloves.
  4. Ginger.
  5. 1 tsp Olive oil.
  6. Coriander leaves.
  7. Tomato.
  8. Onion.
  9. Turmeric powder.
  10. Salt for taste.


Cut chicken into small pieces and boil it for 5-10 mins. This will not only make chicken softer but will also remove fat from it.

Chop Tomato, Onion, Garlic, Ginger and Coriander leaves finely.

Pre-heat a pan for about 5 mins.and then pour 1 tsp of olive oil in it. Saute all the finely chopped ingredients in this oil.

Next, Drain off the water from the boiled chicken. And add these boiled chicken pieces in the pan. Sprinkle some salt, turmeric powder and pour about half a cup of water. Stir the mixture till it gets dry.

Now, Add lemon juice in it and stir more for about 3 mins.

Serve it on a plate and sprinkle some flax seeds powder(optional).

MACROS( without flax seed’s powder):

Proteins = 78 grams

Carbohydrates = 3 grams

Fats = 11 grams.


Divide this meal into 2 batches, 1 of 100 grams and the other of 150 grams.

Eat the first batch with cooked brown rice an hour before the workout for the perfect pre-workout meal.

Eat the second batch of 150 grams with some sweet potato just after the workout as the post-workout meal.
